Stress Free

Hey there,

Many times in life there are moments where stress takes over and we slowly lose control.   As humans, we over think and analyse everything, and this brings stress into our lives. Over thinking ruins you. Ruins the situation, twist things around, makes you worry and makes everything worse than it actually is. We don't realize the effect of this, how mentally and physically unhealthy it is for us. We worry about the smallest problems, which is a waste of time and effort. These negative emotions kill the joy in our lives leaving us sad and frustrated.

Worrying is also a bad habit, but we can break habits and slowly with time, we are letting ourselves be free to be able to to be happy. Worrying is pointless, it doesn't change the future or what is going to happen. We could think up every possible problem to the things we do but that won't change the consequences we will have to face. It wastes time, and time is a precious thing that we don't cherish enough. We miss out on the important things while spending our time worrying.

How to get rid of stress and worry? Just take a breath. Smile. Yeah.. you should probably keep breathing or you'll die. Take one minute to close your eyes and clear your mind to focus on something positive. Tell yourself that worrying will not do any good and just relax. There are many ways to get rid of stress: meditate or have a girls day out and go to the spa, take an amazing bubble bath, do an activity you love, drink some tea, stuff your face with chocolate listen to music, have a dance party, shake off all the stress and have fun. I find that exercise - even just a long walk maybe - is a good way to get rid of anxiety or stress as you're relieving your body of all this pent up energy. There are so many little thing you can do to to stop your body and mind from stressing out. Stop over thinking small problems, if they can't be fixed there is nothing you can do. So empty your mind and just SMILE. Laughter is always the best solution! I'll finish with my favorite quote..

Be YOU.

Hey there,

Have you ever felt like you don't fit in? Well I have, when I moved school that was exactly how I felt. I stood out, I was the 'new girl' who turned up in the wrong class, who was shy and quiet and I didn't know what to do. I remember it was a scary experience and I felt so alone that I would want to cry. But it is fine now, I've made amazing friends who I love and I'm happy. Situations like that are always hard, when you don't know anyone and everything seems different and new. My advice would be to be you, stay strong and be confident. However hard things get...

To fit in, people think they have to look or act a certain way. Especially in high school, where girls are crazy bitches (yepp...in most cases haha) and popularity is a (dumb) contest. Where to fit in you are expected to be pretty, and have long hair, and perfect skin, and be stick thin ect. All of these expectations are STUPID. As we all know, everyone is different. There is so much variation and no one has the same personality or looks exactly the same (not even twins). We should embrace these differences, we should not try to fit in but instead try to stand out.

So, don't throw your personality away to fit in, be the cow in a herd of sheep. Be different and be as weird as you want. And love every second of it because you are you and you can be nothing more or nothing less. Which is beautiful because this makes each and every one of us in this world unique.

Start doing what you want to do and don't try to be 'perfect' try to be perfectly you. Don't let all the expectations of society suffocate you, just breath. Learn to love your body, personality, differences and imperfections. Just learn to love yourself. Look in the mirror and compliment yourself, even your flaws. Remember you are good enough and don't let anyone tell you other wise. People will judge you for no reason, don't let it get to you because it says more about them than it does about you. Embrace you.

Embrace the small things

 Hey there,

It's weird how fast time goes by, we wish it away. Always looking towards the future, thinking about our plans and dreams, wanting the days to go by faster. That is why time goes by so fast, because we want it to.

Everyday is a routine, going to school or work or college. This makes everyday insignificant, which is okay I think, some days have to be insignificant for others to be awesome and memorable. Some days are just completely terrible and all you feel is sadness, but these dark corners in your life only make the good times better. Yes, darkness can be scary and we can feel afraid and alone, but there's always light at the end of the tunnel. These sad days make you appreciate everything more and realize how special life is, because we've been through the sadness and hurt and know the pain in it.

We look to tomorrow for a better life, but why not make your life better today? Live in the present? Make days significant? Learn something new. Do the things you love. Do things that are crazy and wild, that push your limits. Spend time with the people you love, and be happy.

The simplest things can make u smile. The best things in life come free to us. We don't stop to appreciate them, we should always be thankful. Once in a while stop and smell the roses. Be grateful of the life you live and the people in it and embrace the small things.

So don't look towards the future, enjoy the spectacular now and be happy. Smile. Time is too precious to waste, so don't wish it away.

Be Beautiful

Hey there,

Being a girl is really hard because we are naturally insecure and self conscious. But u can slowly learn to accept yourself and accept your flaws. Truly it's possible because I am proud to say I think I'm beautiful and I love myself. It did take time but I got there eventually.

Firstly, you have to know every flaw about yourself and then find the good from the bad. Be perfectly imperfect. For example, I'm Asian (well Chinese if u want to be specific) so I have really tiny eyes, before I hated them, because they are so small and it's not a good look. But now I love them because they are so different compared to other people and they make me stand out. Some people may make a racist comment but I don't care because I accept my eyes are small but there's nothing wrong with that.

Secondly, you should change anything that can be if you're unhappy with it (NO plastic surgery). Change is good, it's different and may take a while to get used to but we adapt to it. This will instantly make you feel more comfortable with yourself.

Thirdly, you have to believe. This one is the hardest by far. At first I would look in the mirror and say I'm pretty but I didn't actually think that at all. I just kept telling myself flaws make you who you are, they make you beautiful. And slowly I did start to believe. It's not actually about being stunning or whatever, it's about accepting who you are and knowing that you are happy with yourself, and that makes you the most beautiful person ever.

Finally, there are nasty people in this world who will constantly try to knock you down with their words like weapons. You're best chance of survival is to fight back with a award winning smile and a shrug that tells them you don't care. It doesn't matter what they think of you, it only matters what you think of yourself. How are u supposed to feel amazing if you care what the haters say?

Just DON'T ever compare yourself to other girls, because thinking she's so much prettier or she's got everything I don't have is just pathetic, and will only make you feel worse. We are all different so embrace it.

It's all up to u, it's a metal game. Do this for yourself, compliment yourself, be confident and smile. The key is to be yourself, to accept your own skin and that's what makes you beautiful.

Don't be suffocated, be free

Hey there,

We seem to always get caught up in life and stray from good. By drama, family, friends, relationships, lies, hurt, messed up situations and I could go on all day. Because of this, we change, and become a different person. Sometimes for good or for bad. And you might just look back and think this isn't who I am; this isn't who I want to be.

We are young, we make mistakes, we learn, we change but can always change again. We are free to do what we want! Freedom is so important! Happiness is so important! Everyone has dreams and goals, but I don't think people realise that the main one should be to be happy.

With all these things constantly going on in our lives, we sometimes feel suffocated. With so many problems we face on a daily basis, whether they are life threatening or just a paper cut, we can feel like we are buried underneath and find it hard to breathe. Sometimes everything seems so complicated, but it's not. I think we just have to see through all the mess and cling onto what's important. We have to learn to breathe even when we feel like there's no air left.

Do what you want, because you want it, and do what you love to do, because it will make you happy. Do it all. Don't be suffocated, strive for freedom. Be free, and live life every every minute.

Stand Up

Hey there,

A lot of the time in life we stand at the side lines when we see people suffer. It is an instinct to cower from fear and pain. I think it is a great flaw of ours.

We see boys and girls getting picked on at school, even so, we do nothing to stop this. We all maybe know that one girl who hates herself and to take all the emotion away puts a knife to her wrist. Or one girl who thinks she's fat because others said so, and starves herself or after lunch goes to the toilets to throw up.

Why don't we make a stand and stop these terrible things from happening? Everyone is equal. We need to stop thinking about ourselves and start thinking about others. Talk to people you may not usually talk to, smile, and show them they're worth more than they think they are. It's nice to be nice. Stand up to the bullies, don't be afraid, don't be a coward. Be brave and be the kind hearted person that wants to help. Actions speak louder than words!

Nobody's perfect. We all do bad things from time to time. We will always sin. It's a fact. But we can try to be better than who we were yesterday. We can try to be good and live the right way.

Soaring hope

Hey there,

When I look into the sky and see a bird, I feel hopeful.
'The birds can have something we can never have. But merely by existing - by flying before us - they add to the daily joys of existence. Birds are about hope.'
For humans, flying is a dream that we can only try to achieve, but never will (unless you're on an aeroplane). Birds give us hope because with flight they can go wherever they please and glide through the sky.

I feel like hope is one of the most important feelings to have, after happiness of course. To be hopeful, is seeing the positive in the negative. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I envy the birds, they are so beautiful, the way the glide and soar without a worry in the world.  The way they can feel freedom in every flight they take. Freedom. Something we all crave. The birds have it in a way we might not ever have. But we can hope to be as free as them, going where the wind leads.

But 'in freedom, most people find sin'- the fault in our stars. This makes freedom dangerous, it makes it treacherous. But something about breaking the rules makes us feel alive. We do things we wouldn't usually do, and act on impulse, we don't think about the consequences. Which makes freedom amazing.

So, be hopeful, be optimistic, be free. Even if it does mean breaking a few rules.
